The Sahara Law story

A 25-year practice. A site that finally matches.

Gurmeet Singh Chaina has been practising law for over twenty-five years. Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. Barrister, Solicitor, and Notary Public. Six full practice areas. None of that came through on the old site.

Sahara Law Corporation is a small Abbotsford law firm with a wide practice — Family Law, Criminal Law, Real Estate Law, Wills and Estate Planning, Immigration Law, and Notary Services. The kind of full-service local firm a Fraser Valley family can call once and get help on whatever life sends their way.

The problem the firm came to me with was the usual story for a small professional practice. The website existed but it was tired. It did not load fast. It did not explain the six practice areas clearly. It carried no schema, no proper meta titles, no internal links between practice pages. Google Business Profile was set up but not optimised. Inbound calls from Google were rare.

The decision on stack was easy. Gurmeet wanted to log in and update content himself between formal projects — press releases, new staff, retainer changes — without booking time with a developer. That is the right business case for WordPress, not a custom-coded build. The platform is a tool. The result is what matters.

The build: a clean WordPress site with a homepage that names every practice area in plain English, a dedicated page per practice area with schema, a contact page with proper NAP — Suite 205, 2580 Cedar Park Place, Abbotsford, BC V2T 3S5 · 778-347-7525 · consistent across the site and the Google Business Profile. Page-speed tuned. Mobile-first. The kind of build a paying client expects from a law firm of this size.

The SEO work that followed is ongoing. Local SEO foundation work first — on-page titles, headings, internal linking between practice pages, schema markup on the Local Business and on each Service, real review acquisition through the Google Business Profile, and citation cleanup across Canadian legal directories. After the foundation, ongoing monthly work on content, technical health, and ranking monitoring.

The outcome in Sahara's own words on a verified Google review: "My law firm in Abbotsford is now getting more clients." That is the line that matters. A 25-year practice that was relying on referrals and walk-ins now has a steady inbound channel from Google search and from local map visibility.

The lesson: professional services do not need a flashy custom build to win in local search. They need a clear site that explains the services, accurate NAP across every public surface, schema that matches the business, and an SEO plan that runs continuously rather than as a one-time project. Most Abbotsford law firms and accounting practices we audit are missing four of those five fundamentals. Fixing them is what moves the needle.

“Ishaanex Digital has done a great job designing my website and is currently handling its SEO. They are highly reliable and an honest team to work with. My law firm in Abbotsford is now getting more clients. I really appreciate the work done by Ishaanex Digital.”
